This is a time-lapse photo (30-second exposure) of hikers coming back from the volcano viewing area south of Volcano National Park in Hawaii. It’s pitch black and one can only access the area by hiking, with flashlights, about a mile across a now-dried lava field. The streaks are the progress of flashlights coming toward me from the end of the lava field.
